Greetings,

I have a small complaint to make about Camping Worlds online check out. Can you please explain why the shopping cart at check out does not display the items that are not in stock or on backorder?

I placed my order online and made payment. A few minutes later, I received an email stating that two of the items on my order are back-ordered till June! If I had known that they were back ordered I would have purchased them elsewhere.

If you can please talk to your programmers to add a process for checking inventory prior to purchase, it would make for a better buying experience.

This has happened to me too, how do I know I will be home when they deliver if I don't know when that is?

I have to follow up with a phone call and cancel the BO items, big time waster for everyone.


Show me the GRILL and STAND BACK!!!!

This is exactly the way to handle it. Let them know that their failure to provide you with ADVANCE notice that an item is not available will result in your CANCELLING your order with them, and ordering from someone else. Most on-line sites will let you know IN ADVANCE that the item is not currently in stock. To NOT give you this information just presumes that you will buy from CW, regardless of how long you have to wait. Wrong!

although if they were good enough to tell us before the sale....then it would be like the "Amazon" site, they never have anything either! LOL.

WOW I just placed 2 orders and the first order has already been shipped but the 2nd one was just placed yesterday and I got the same 2 e-mails and I did not look at them as I thought they were just confirmation but I did just look and one of the items is on B/O so I will be calling and canceling this item as I do not want to wait over a month for this. I am very surprised they did not have that info on the original order as well.

That statement...means you are running an ineffecient "reactionary" stock monitoring system, instead of a customer friendly "proactive" stock monitoring system.
You are letting the customers preferences dictate when you order in from your suppliers.
Companies begin to do this when they have no cash flow, normaly this begins with a directive from the "gods" and means that a company is on it's way out, or has recently been acquired and there are new ideas coming down from the new "gods" above????
