I'm SOOOO jealous! I'm retiring this year, so we're camperless until we see how things shake out financially. We hope to back in business within a year, maybe in an Aliner - somthing we can pull with my RAV4 V-6.

We've stayed in hotels twice in the past few months - yuk! Some people are so loud and rude, talking loudly in the hall late at night. The last time, someone checked in near midnight, and let their toddler run up and down the hall screaming and playing for 30 minutes - really? Ugh!

Oh, to have a camper again. I can't wait!!

We were lucky - we found ours on Craigslist and it was in our price range. As for the motels, I always checked the Bedbug registry to see if the motels had been infested - and we carried our bags in huge plastic Ziplock bags. I'm happy we won't have to do this anymore. Hope you get back to camping soon again.

Well welcome back Rita...your going to have so much fun again and so is Andy!
I cringe at the thought of having to ever stay at a hotel ever again, nasty.
Let us know how your first outing goes...have fun!

Enjoy the Jayco 165. Two nights in a motel would be about the same as a TT payment and you won't have to worry if they will accept Andy.

Does your Jay Feather Sport have a shower surround in the tub area? We are looking at a 2012 Jay Feather Ultra Lite 24T for husband, myself and our lab/golden mix. It bothers me that there is no surround in the tub/shower area. The dealer says that the "vinyl coated" wallboard is good enough. If you have the same, I wonder what your experience is. We are thinking we should insist on the dealer installing a surround.

The other thing that will be a problem with this trailer is the plain black fabric trim on the couch. It will be covered with yellow hair from Fairbanks the minute he walks in!!

We have the smaller JayFeather Sport, the 16.5 size. We have a small tub in the bathroom with the vinyl coated wallboard on the walls around the tub. We don't use the shower in the camper we go to the shower house because the camper shower is so small, and the hot water tank we have is only 6 gallons. We don't have a couch - we have a gaucho. I'd suggest placing a sheet over your couch - we use one in the back seat of our car because Andy, our sheltie, sheds onto the black upohlstry and it looks like heck. Much easier to take off the sheet and wash it between camping trips. Making adjustments in these smaller campers is quite a challenge sometimes. Good luck!

Rita, great idea for the sheet on the couch! Sometimes I miss the obvious solutions. Thanks.

We don't shower a lot in the camper, but in the fall a quick shower in the warm camper is welcome over the unheated bath houses of the state parks here. Our first trailer was a Jayco back in the early 1990s, great quality. So disappointed that Jayco would install a tub without a surround.
