We've been across Kansas 36 many times. But for some reason I can't remember the name of or the town that has a rather large sandstone engraving business. It's on the north side of 36. Thinking about ordering a stone and suprise the wife on our next trip thru.

US 36 runs right through the heart of Kansas Post Rock country (named for the fence posts made of limestone) and there are MANY businesses in the area that specialize in buildings, signs etc. but mostly from limestone. Probably anything between Sebetha to Bailyville would be in that area. Here's a link to one such business in Smith Center http://www.centermonuments.com/?page_id=43
