Just had to order a new fog light (driver's side) after rock or something dinged it and broke the lens. It's a light that has an integral wire with a plug jack, so I could not find it at any of my local parts stores.

I had the MH in for some routine maintenance at my dealer and I asked them to find a light. My dealer rep (who is great in my opinion) also tried to get a replacement light for me through their network of suppliers.

In the end it had to come from the Monaco parts warehouse. The kicker is you cannot buy only one replacement light, they only come in two to a box.

They price them at $45 (Cdn) each but only sell a pair, so it's $90 for the pair. The fact that they even have a unit price is baffling but what really irks me is not being able to get only one.

Monaco Parts, I'm really not impressed!

Did you try to find the manufacturer of the light? I know on my Monaco coach they use a lot of Bargman exterior light fixtures and individual light glass lenses are available from several sources.

No I didn't but that's a thought.

The other thing is that you can't just change the glass lens, it all one integral part.

My real issue is not getting a replacement, it's Monaco's 'must buy two' requirement.

I would be very happy that I could find even one. Finding two gives you a spare. The packaging of two per box,is probably due to low production numbers.

I can understand your frustration. I would be apt to change out to another brand of light. On the bright side, at least they are around to supply it!

Do you belong to the Monacoers forum? If not you should join and if you already belong, you failed to use the existing, very extensive parts listing for ALL Monaco coaches, they have. IMO, you should be blaming yourself for failing to exhaust all avenues, before going to the coach manufacturer, who has shipping, inventory storage and other cost to cover, just so you can gripe about them having it for you. Sorry, but Monaco parts is the LAST place I go to for any part on my coach.

AM Autoparts Clicky

These people have a ton of lighting and general automotive parts on Ebay. I purchased a set of headlamp assemblies from them and was impressed with the quality at 1/3 the price of NAPA.

Eric, call Northwest Auto in Eugene. I would almost bet they have what you need in stock. When Monaco moved their motorized division to Wakarusa, Northwest bought their entire warehouse of parts since Monaco felt it was too expensive to move them. Give them a call, it can't hurt....Dennis

P.S. You have to call for late model parts as they just opened their new warehouse and haven't yet inventoried all the stuff and put it on their website...D
