I'm a fan of "Hi, honey, come here often?" But I don't restrict it to Colorado. I've been slapped in several states.
Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

East side of Independence Pass just for the absolute scenic beauty climbing up towards the top along 82. No other pass can come close for lush green scenery -- IMHO as they say. Of course higher up you drive out of thick green fields and forest. But every pass has its own character. For scarey? Which ever pass causes the tranny and oil temps to keep climbing. I always assume we are not going to drop a wheel over the side. Or at least hope so.

For scenery and a paved pass, I vote for Molas. I can't go thru it without stopping at the rest area and hiking down into it a ways.
For all time favorite, though, I go for Mosquito pass. Highest pass in Colorado, at over 13k feet. Gorgeous scenery. Only open about 2 months a year, though.

Independence Pass. We did that from Aspen up in a 36 foot MH (Yep, ignored the signs) It got pretty narrow on up toward the top, but was absolutely beautiful

Red Mtn the scariest. I like Cottonwood Pass. But, anything above timberline is great.

I love going over Independance Pass but you have to pay attention or its all over with. Hoosier Pass going from Alma to Breckenridge can be scary.

Another one for Hiway 14. In one year I did 36K in CO and never left the state. I don't think there are many roads I wasn't on.

Full timing isn't "always camping". It's a different life style living in an RV.

Don't believe I've been over a pass in Colorado that wasn't just great! Seems like every time we do a new pass it is just a little better than the last -- could be that we take them a little slower now and usually do them two or three times before we leave. One pass that we always enjoy would be Berthoud Pass, Just love the decent down on the way to Winter Park or Grand Lake.
On a little different sort of pass that might have been the best drive we every took was Cinnamon Pass (12,620 ft.) the ride up to, from Lake City, and the decent down to Animas Forks and Silverton is a trip that is better every time, As soon as I leave I wonder when I'll get back -- The San Juan's are just full of great rides and even better passes.
Like I said -- hard to find a pass/or road in Colorado that is just GREAT.
