On Friday, my personal vehicle was dead in the parking lot of the local grocery store. I called CoachNet for assistance and the person I spoke with told me she was sending someone out and help would arrive within one hour. I expected a wrecker/tow truck and was surprised when, instead, a kid showed up in a jeep with jumper cables. Really? Perhaps it was because the clock was ticking -- it took him 45 minutes to get there. He told me all their trucks were busy. He was (surprise) unable to start my car and I required a tow. When I called to request the tow, I was told I only got one free roadside assistance per breakdown and the tow would be at my expense. If a wrecker had been dispatched to assist me I wouldn't have had to call for a tow, now would I??? So I called my garage and they sent a tow truck to pick up my car. I am disappointed in the response from CoachNet and angry that I have to pay out of pocket for a 4 mile tow.

You should call CoachNet back and request a customer service person and explain this to them. Don't know what you told then when you first called, but they should have explained the one assistance per breakdown. And that is right in the contract. Sounds like the service intended to send a wrecker, but they were busy and they sent a kid instead. CoachNet has nothing to do with the service that they sent you except to contract with them and pay them. And it appears that both CoachNets phone rep and the service that they contracted failed. CoachNet should be made aware of this by you, their client! I'm sure that they will do right by you.

I agree with wny_pat. I would also mention that you posted it on Good Sam's RV.net forum and everyone is waiting to find out how you make out. If you don't get what you want from the first person you speak with, ask to speak to a supervisor.

Please post what their response is.

I have learned to ask for a wrecker right off. Because when the wrecker gets there, he will give you a jump if you ask him. At least that's the way it worked for me.

I posted this on another thread and here it is again....no sympathy from me, unless you make the people that CAN make a difference, aware of the problem. If after you make them aware and get nowhere, then come back and tell us about it. I know for a fact Mr Stroup will NOT ignore you.

Did you bother to try and go up the ladder to get to the root of your problem? I'm sorry but they do have a group that follows up with these complaints, if they know about them. Instead of saying how poor they are, try following the right procedure, then report how the ENTIRE scenario played out.

Here is the place to start..... Henry Stroup, Sr. Vice President

I don't understand why your even posting this here. This is not a Coach-Net forum. You should be calling Coach-Net and explain your problem.

Texan, that is an incorrect email address. I did ask to speak with a supervisor but was told no one was available. Very poor customer service. I have sent them the same information I posted here - we'll see how they respond.
