OK folks. Would love to have your opinion of whether we are crazy or not?
Plan is to buy a new Jayco 33foot Toyhauler (T29A) travel trailer and hit the road - more or less, fulltime. We are 2 parents, a 4yr old boy and 4 month old girl. We've RV'd some before so know the basics. Not ready to make the 5th wheel plunge so don't need to suggest we do that.
Will this be enough space for long term? What have you learned from your experience?
Thanks!!

Who will the children play with? I guess that would be my only concern. Officially though us NON toy hauler folks have been asked by the toy hauler moderator to NOT comment on matters concerning toy haulers.

I'm not familiar with the layout in the that model, but as long as the kids and parents have seperate bedrooms (like bunkhouse models) I'm sure it will be fine. Now matter how much a family loves each other it's nice to have a little bit of space that's yours.

There's enough room...even if it doesn't have a slideout...for the kids to be able to spread out. You can also get a screen room awning for the ramp area...and each kid will have a queen bed too.
And no...I don't think you're crazy. We camped in less space for 20 years with our 2 kids in bunk model Jayco's...had a great time.

I don't get how this unit is a "toyhauler"- don't those usually haul "big boy toys"?????

Not crazy; Gutsy. Since you are apparently young you should consider the impact that this lifestyle will have on your future and also on your childrens future. Your children will grow up with no close friends and what will you do for money both now and when you are retirement age? If you have a plan for the future then go for it but think the whole thing thru for the next 30 or 40 years before you decide to do it.

That's not such a bad thing. We lived in one spot for nearly 20 yrs and kids made friends that taught them how to steal, smoke and drink.
