We are on our way home from the New Orleans Jazzfest and decided to spent a couple of days in Washington DC. Pulling into a pull through site at Cherry Hill, I was overly concerned about the slope on the drivers side and didn't pay sufficient attention to the landscaping timbers on the passenger's side. I didn't even notice that I dented one basement door, one fixed panel and put a pretty good scratch in the both the wheel fender and another door until we were leveling the rig. What an idiot !!!!

I think I can remove the panels/doors and bring them to a body shop to minimize the cost. I really don't want to make an insurance claim, but maybe I should. I guess something like this was was going to happen sooner or later. Like we use to say in the sailing days, there are two types of sailors....the ones that have run aground and the ones that about too.

Did I mention that I'm an idiot?

Oh you have started something as we all have long lists of our idiot moments. It usually starts with not unplugging the electrical cord and moving on to antennas in up position. From there we get to the scratches and dings. The idiot club has a big membership. Welcome.

Been there..done that! I'm a senior vice-president of our local "DUH" Chapter of the Crash, Ding, Scratch and Bang Club!

The good news is I have a really good RV body shop if you need one!

Bet you can't even tell where it was fixed!

Sometimes things happen. Even when you have good intentions the occasional mishap will occur.

Well Lou. I hope you have better luck than me. My doors were poprivets to the hings. I had to grind all rivets off, so I could repair my doors. I just can't figure out why they put those bright yellow poles near the gas pumps.

We have all been there, done that. We all make mistakes and most of us learn from them and don't repeat them. Get it fixed and enjoy the life.

I made a sharp u-turn with the toad behind us. I put the ladder on the RV through the bumper of my Suburban. Oops! $500 mistake. We all do it.

Some time back, I pulled into a RV park at Night that we go to regularly. As I was driving by the sites, I saw one that was right next to a friend of mine. I was actually driving in the wrong direction to pull into the site, but I decided to try it anyway. I made it!! When I got out to plug in I noticed that the electrical box was hanging off the post. I walked over to my friend and said "Come and look what some A******* did to the box here. He helped me screw the box back to the pole so I could hook up. The next morning I looked at the side of my MH and saw a large scratch. OOPS! I went next door to my friend and said "I guess the A******* was ME!!!!

Show me someone who never makes a mistake and I'll show you someone who never does anything.

Stuff happens.
