We have a 7-year extended warranty on our TT which is expiring, and are looking for a good replacement plan. Is the Good Sam plan good, or do you hve any recommendations?
I didn't know you could even get and extended-extended warranty on a rig that old??
What year rig is it? Did you have any issues with any of the appliances/camper itself in the first 7 year period?
The rig must be paid for, so why pay more to insure 7+ year old equipment?
My rig is going on 10 years old. Never bought into the original offer of 'extended warranty' and have not had a single problem with anything on the rig.. Just lucky I guess..
I figure from here on out, if something does fail and costs a grand or more, I'm still ahead of the deal and will just replace and pay for whatever fails.. Cheaper than buying an extended warranty and WAY cheaper than buying a new rig!
But, you gotta do what you gotta do.. If the extended warranty deal lets you sleep better, that's what's you should do...
I guess I really didn't answer your original question, so I'll shut up now..
Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

I have used GS extended warranty, and though many on RV.net don’t think much of them, I have been happy with them… never had a problem making a claim and it is reasonably priced…
I have had it on at least my last 4 trailers and over the years (15 +) have had a microwave replaced, AC replaced, the cost of a fridge cooling unit replacement applied to a new fridge install (my option), a new bath tub, a new water heater and I think 3 furnace repairs and I was paid directly the value for a few self repairs…
One nice feature is if you have more than one covered repair done at the same time, one deductible covers all the covered repairs…
While fixing things yourself might always be a option, I don’t always have the tools or place to do the repairs available to me…
When selling a used trailer I also included a one year GS contract with the trailer, it made selling it easy and without having to cut the selling price… it removes the buyers what if from the sale negotiations…
May not be for everyone but has worked well for me…
I have had a couple of repair shops say they didn’t like dealing with the insurance companies because it was hard to get paid…
Until I pointed out they will get retail for parts and locally fair market for their labor, and they also have choices on payment… including being paid as soon as the job is completed by CC… that’s better than mfg warranty repairs for them…
