We have Corelle plates and real glasses and actual silver ware for our 'camping'.. Even when we 'dry camp', we use the real stuff.. When your dry camping is a "pack it in, pack it out" deal, you don't want to be using paper plates.. Well, I guess you can burn it all in your evening fire...

Manually doing dishes is kind of just something you do while 'camping'... Makes it different from just staying at home for us anyway.. It's kinda that 'bonding time' you can get with no television no work, no other worries...

I hate cutting my steaks on a paper plate... Just not the same!

Just what we do.. Works for us..

Mitch

I was thinking about a set of Corelle for special times, but the option of paper plates is very alluring.

Then again I'm a single guy, so my experiences/options may not be a good represnetation... LOL!

we use a lot of paper, BUT it is to be good paper. I hate using the paper plates that bend in half and all you good food slides off to the ground

We use regular dishes unless we're boondocking with no water source or have another reason not to wash them. Don't like plastic utensils at all.

We use both, depends what we are having, fried egg are always on real, hamburger helper on paper. Granola in morning is paper bowl. I like glass bottles and glass for all other drinks. Not real green but neither is my Chevy 454 engine.
