Like a lot of you, we use both. If it is just us we use the real thing. At rallies and pot-luck's we use throw away as some utensils have been taken by mistake.

We use both. For quick snacks, we use paper but if we are going to be washing pots or pans anyways a few dishes isn't going to add to the water use.

Mostly use real plates and bowls but have to admit to liking the quick cleanup and water savings of paper.

One thing I've learned in my first year RVing is to use paper napkins or paper towel to wipe off messy plates, utensils or cookware before washing dishes rather than wash a lot of food liquid down into the gray tank.

I'm another Tervis tumbler fan. Great for avoiding drippy drinking glasses on a warm evening. The lifetime guarantee is for real and I've taken them up on it several times.

Plastic is our "good stuff". Not throw away plastic, but stuff you can reuse over and over. WE bought some nice stuff when we first got the camper, but it was too heavy for the drawer and we were afraid of it breaking. So we took it out and just use the other stuff. We only use it about 1/4 of the time though. We use throw away stuff most of the time. Not paper, but usually the styrofoam type plates..

Sandwiches - paper. The cheapest paper ones I can find. To stop them from bending, just use 2 or 3 and throw the top one away.

Everything else - real dishes just like at home. However, I will use paper for prep work rather than dirty all the dishes.

Never plastic utensils or drinkware, in fact took them out of the MH because we never used them. I just cringe at the thought of using plastic or styrofoam and tossing it into a landfill for the next million years or so. Just my nutty self.

Another dual-use family here. It depends upon the day's schedule and what we're eating. If I need to do dishes anyway (pans, cooking utensils, etc) then I prefer using the durable plastic plates & bowls. It really doesn't use much water to wash them (less than 1/2 gallon for all the dishes). If we are getting an early start and packing up, then the disposable wins out. Since we only have a set of 4 plates/bowls, disposable wins out when we have extra people. With the exception of steak knives, our table flatware is plastic to help keep the weight down in the utensil drawer.

We use paper unless we are having steak or something that has to be cut then we use Corell. I have a cheap set of 'silverwear' from Walmart that we use all the time as we got tired of our plastic braking in our food. Have real coffee cups/mugs though. Plastic glasses and Red Solo Cups!

We normally use the heavy corelle style paper plates and small bowls. We use real bowls for cereal and soups and real dishes for steak sometimes. We buy in large lots at Costco and they last for the season (winter).
Life is about bar-b-cue and not washing dishes LOL

"real" ones for house-use, plastic ones for outdoors.

Hate living in the house which is like a box.
So I like Tent Camping.

I use the metal enamelware from tent camping days-bowls, plates and cups. Makes me feel more campy. Dogs wash the dishes and Tervis for cold drinks. Wash with outdoor shower.
