my kid sleeps with her head to the top of the pic.
when she rolls over she always bangs onto that handle from the window.
I tried wrapping it in a small towel so it doesn't hurt but that little towel always slips etc.
I figure someone knows a good way to soften this handle.
any easy suggestions? for some reason I can't figure out a way to make it more easy on her rolling over. I assume someone else has handled this and any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks

The foam pipe insulation is a good idea, hopefully that will solve the problem.
Also, you could get a small pillow or something similar and hold it in place with velcro strips.

I have seen people put cut swimming noodles on the corners of their 5th wheel slideouts that are high up. Maybe you can adapt one for the window.
Whatever you decide to do, make sure it can be removed quickly so as not to hinder a fast escape God forbid you need the emergency escape window and that you kids know how to remove it.
How about a bumper pad like your find in cribs os a nice stuffed animal that is long and skinny like a snake? Hope she likes snakes!
See you on the road!

You can probably still get the baby bed cushions-bumpers or whatever they are called. Foam with plastic covers (Walmart). I would put VELCRO strips on the back to hold them up flush to the window wall all the time... Using the velcro strips would let you pull them back if you need to open the window.
X2 on Mike and Rose comments... I started with the same idea just too slow typing hehe..

I like the idea of the split wrap pipe insulation because you can get it in various sizes and it is dirt cheap. Use some velcro inside it to keep it in place. I use it along the bottoms of my slides and use short strips of velcro inside it to keep it in place. I leave the split wrap in place when the slides are shut. They have saved so many back and head bumps I can't count.

pipe insulation is probably a good, easy fix but be sure you don't over-do it because you do NOT want to interfere with the main purpose of the window (emergency egress) which means easy to open and quick to use. If it's necessary to remove the padding to use the window it's a bad idea.
