Re. your driving in germany with US plates: I have talked to local police and they were a bit unsure what to do with you (just as I expected). They would probably just want to see documentation of insurance and ownership and let you go, if anything... However, the police advised me to talk to our DMV ("Zulassungsstelle") and see what they have to say. There are short term plates that you can buy that will legalize anything - but you don't really want to add that expense to your fuel bill (around 130 EUR for 5 days for a passenger car; I have no idea what a TC would cost...). Personally, I am fairly confident they would not give you any trouble as-is, as they wouldn't know how to handle the case. But I can not publically advise you to try (and possibly fail). I'll keep you posted.

Camper Jeff&Kelly : my truck is 2008, I controlled the relay and fuse, they are ok, it seem to me that it's the separator between truck and camper that stayed close. I think to do as you, a direct connection with the alternator.

Wow! Thanks of posting. Reminded me of our European trip.
Those French cattle interested me as we were told they required more care to raise compared to American cattle. Also the French cattle were much bigger than I'm used to. French beef tasted a little different as well. Though it tasted just as good maybe even better.
