as an air mattress that doesn't leak air? Our TT came equipped with an Aero Bed air mattress. We used it one night and had to keep pumping it up. The mattress had a tear in the seams on the top (where the "fabric" is) and could not be repaired. We called Aero Bed and they sent us a new one. We didn't even use this one until a few weeks ago and it has a hole on the top of the mattress that can not be repaired.
So does anyone have any recommendations for another brand of air mattress that does not leak?

Probably not. Why not just replace it with a regular mattress?

I think you've just had a run of bad luck. Quality seems similar on all I've seen. We bought a full-size air mattress at a sporting goods store, on closeout, to use on our old RV sleeper couch. Tried it out at home to make sure it held air, so hope it works when needed.
I did see Walmart carry a full-size locally, just lately. The price was not too bad if I remember correctly. I think the full-size, and even twin, is getting more common in stores, and they have been available online for quite a while. I imagine it is one product that begs to be not an open-box item. There is only one reason to return them.

When we tent camped we used Thermarest mattress and never had a problem. They us open cell foam between what amounts to Maywest life preserver materiel, self inflating. At home we have a sleep number bed 10+ years old does not leak.
In the teardrop we have a queen foam mattress from mattress by mail.

We use air mattresses in our motorhome. I cannot sleep on anything else. We have tried them all. Ones with built-in pumps seem to either leak or they do not inflate to the point where we can sleep on them comfortably. We don't like the sleep number bed. We use the $22 queen size Intek. It seems to do the best. Even then, we usually replace the mattress once a year. We keep a spare in the closet. We used AeroBeds for a couple years, but did find ourselves replacing them frequently. . . under warranty. When the warranty ran out, we switched.

Bed Bath And Beyond has a thick mattress bad I believe it is called Memory Foam Mattress Pad. For a queen size you are looking at about $170. This might work for you or just invest in a better grade mattress.
See you on the road!

Just don't ever have a problem with the pump. Mine quit and we ended up sleeping on the plywood one night. Select Comfort would sell me a new one for only $550 + shipping + tax. They don't sell parts or any other help. Look how many are for sale on E-Bay with numbers out or other defects. I ended up with a $20 Coleman air pump and a couple of f ish tank valves to have mine working. One time to deal with their customer service? cured me of ever wanting another of their products.

I'd go with WandaLust's suggestion. Leaks and holes will always keep happening with air mattresses, imo. You might have more luck with just getting a regular mattress.

thanks for the replys. I should have been more specific. The air mattress is for the sleeper sofa in the TT. It is a full size and the storage space under the sofa will only accomadate an air mattress after it is deflated. There is a queen size bed that we use in the bedroom in TT and we do have a memory foam topper on it and it sleeps well. thanks again
