I'm shopping for tires and stopped in the Robertsdale, AL store Saturday...the girl had a 'deer in the headlights' look as she was trying to pull up some info on them..size 305 70 22.5..I think I am stuck with Michelin....the computer was stalling with the dreaded hourglass.....after about 10 min she handed me off to a guy who apparently JUST started there....he didn't know anything about much at that point...he looked from a different working computer and told me they have a brand new account being set up and can't give me a quote until next week, where the tires would likely come from Michigan....he would call me back this week...
Then I asked if they can install them and balance for me...he said he thinks he saw a balancing machine in the back....
How do these places stay in business???????
Not a real warm fuzzy feeling for about a $5000+ pending purchase

I wouldn't buy tires from anyone other than a tire store.

Tires Plus or Discount Tires, you can't go wrong with them.

Don't be to sure about tire stores. Recently a "tire expert" put our spare back under our truck UPSIDE DOWN. When it started to rattle, because it did not fit the holder, my wife and I had to fix it, as we were 500 miles away from the store at the time.

ANY business is only as good as the people that work there.

It's like any other big store. Some stores are way better than other in the chain. I won't even step inside the WalMarts in our area since I find the Meijers and K-Mart way more customer friendly. I buy my tires from were I get the service I want and the best deal. When they mention nitrogen in the tires I turn and walk right out.
