I would like to hang a couple metal signs or pictures in our TT and I read before some have used a 3M double sided tape with good results.
Can someone clarify what type of 3M tape you used? I want to ensure the metals signs stay, they would make quite the dent in the floor if they fell during travel.
Thanks!

Search this Forum for `command strips' which seems to be highly recommended.

I use command strips and has worked out very well. Just make sure that you use some alcohol and clean the area where the command strip is going to be used. Otherwise it may not stick. (don't ask how I know this)

If you are hanging heavier things you should take a look at these: Dual Lock They are part of the 3M Dual Lock product line which is the "big brother" to Command Strips. Although they are hard to find in retail stores I find they are worth ordering because they have much greater holding capability.

I use Velcro on everything I hang up ... that way they can be removed, cleaned and replaced ... If its going to be a heavy item I would use the industrial version. as stated above .. make sure you wipe the area with Alcohol .. that why it holds good.

I would go to the local hardware store and find either monkey or gorilla hooks. They leave a tiny hole and hold lots of weight. The 2 sided tape would work great at preventing the signs from swinging around.
Good luck

Only downside to the command strips is if you apply to a wallpapered surface. I hung a light toothbush holder in the bathroom of our former HTT. We wanted to move it to the new one. The strips released cleanly as they should but we found giant air bubles in the paper where the weight had pulled it loose. The command strips held great but the glue behind the paper was the weak link.
Lesson learned.. In the new TT I used command strips and hung it on the wooden side of the medicine cabinet.

I've used the Command strips that work like velcro. I have some pretty large picture frames hung using it and have never had trouble. Items can be removed and stuck back on since it is velcro like.

I used the command strips with the yellow velcro also. I have a standard home 8"x10" Wood picture frame that has some weight to it hung with these on one of the side walls. velcro in all four corners. It presses in very nicely and is tight and secure. I double check to make sure it's pressed in very well prior to each trip and have yet to have it come loose or be loosened up from traveling down the road. FOr things hung on interior walls (non-outside walls) I use the plastic wall anchors or elf tapping screws.
