Has anyone pieced together a Wilson amplifier kit, we are looking to boost our cell phone signal and internet using the dual band amplifier 801245? Leo's looking at the 841295 Ambulance RV Kit but maybe you might have some suggestions, if you have put one in..
Thanks

3g or 4g? The only thing available for both is wilsons815125. Sadly I am waiting for that one. If 3g or less there are several options.

I've been with Verizon for years. While the 4G MiFi card that I now have is equipped, I couldn't find a new dumb phone with an external antenna port. So, I'm waiting, like many, for the Wilson 4G Sleek which they claim will be out in June. Should be a good boost for both products.

I bought a Wilson #801212 Dual-Band system. I use it for both my cell phone and my air card at the same time. It doesn't connect to either one. I lay the inside antenna on the desk next to the aircard and the phone, and use a bluetooth with the phone.
They also have models with an inside antenna that will re-broadcast to several phones over a larger area.
My external antenna is on a temporary mast to get it above the roof of my TT, but I've also simply stuck it on the rear bumper. It does an excellent job of bringing in poor signals. I also use it in the car, at the hunting camp, and I've used it in hotels with poor wifi.
Keep in mind that it won't 'create' a good signal where one doesn't exist. Also, I've seen cases where the number of bars is improved but the internet speed is still unuseably slow. I assume in this case the tower does not have a good internet connection.

Since this model is only for 3G and lower service it is sort of useless for any 4G devices.

X2, without it plugged in I drop calls, with it I keep them connected.
It helps with my 3G Mi-fi and now that I have the new Droid 4, with 4G, I can connect with it and I do have the 4G flashing as I am using it to be connected right now.

My phone picks up 3G and 4G would it still be useless or just boost the 3G? my 4G hardly works anyway..

I'm waiting to fire up the credit card for the Wilson 4G Sleek. I have two 3G Sleeks and a non user friendly 3watt system. The Sleek is very user friendly with minimal equipment needed.
