I have a Dr appointment in Waterford at 8:15 am, and it's about 2 1/2 hour drive from my house to Waterford. So I am needing a safe place to pull the camper ( 30' ) for 1 or 2 nights.
How safe is the camping at the Pontiac Lk Rec area, in Waterford Mi? I have a CPL, but really dont want to be sleeping where I have a greater chance of needing it. They have a really great rate ( $18 a night ), but that usaually means thug's like it as well. Being so close to Ponti-crack, my assumtions might be correct.
I know of Groveland Oak co. park, but it's a bit further away ( and $35 a night ), and Holly State Park ( $23 ). But Pontiac Lk Rec is just around the corner of my Doc's office on Highland Rd.
