Trying to help some good old folks out. They own a 2005 38ft 343 Everest with I'm assuming a 15000btu central Air-Conditioner it has a hand remote to control its operation. The unit will run in the heat for some time then trip the Breaker. He says its a 2 pole 15 amp. He is not knowledgeable electrically & not sure if he's looking at a 14 gauge or 12 gauge wire. Just a theory that someone...(there was a previous owner of this rig) may have put a 15amp instead of 20amp breaker two pole in the panel. It will run for few hours with a fan on the circuit panel(yea I know I warned them) before tripping so I'm just guessing that they may have been in a rural town, where that was all that may have been available at the time. Had him pull the roof unit cover off to check out how much dirt that may have accumulated and blow the coils out. Anyway calling all Everests owners can you help tell me if your 15000btu is wired 14 or 12. Thanks Guys..
Blessings,

There is a Everest Owners web site that may be able to help you. Google Everest Owners Club. A great group of people. Good Luck

We have the exact same RV - we had the remote thermostat - biggest mistake! never worked right and we paid to have a wall thermostat put in, havent had any troubles since. we have also had to replace the air conditioner and last summer when it was so hot added a 2nd AC, not sure of the answer to your question but I will ask DH, hope they have better luck with their Everest then we did, we bought the extended warranty and so glad we did!
