Sitting here waiting for wife to clear a project off the bed.
A train is sitting, on the siding a half mile away, sounding his horn every minute or so. The sound has a clear longing melodic ring to it Rain cleared out by a cool front and the air is light and crisp.
Even the bunnies were taking in the evening air, along the wood line playing leap frog and chasing each other.
Dog didn't care and was enjoying it too. About stopped him from chasing anything except one of the neighbors barn cats. Our cat brought in a mole hoping for a reward of an extra scratch behind the ear and a treat.
Everything greening up nicely. Should have put out some grass seed yesterday.
Got one tomato turning orange already about as big as a golf ball. Might not get a bushel this year. Grapes are loaded but something has been nibbling on them, still green for at least another month. Might have to move dog's house out next to them. Heck he'll just rub noses with the suspect deer.
Too early for bugs to start hollering this year or otherwise I'd be dead to the world.
Been real peaceful and cool around here these last few weeks.
The Good Lord is sitting around somewhere enjoying it too, I'm sure.
Good night
Sleep tight
I was doing about the same thing yesterday afternoon. Morning was bright, light dew burning off, mowed the entire lawn today. Sitting in the sun room enjoying a cool Diet Coke in the late afternoon. Watching the squirrels coming up on the deck looking for some leftover treat from our 3 year old grandson who just left to go home. Robins and couple of Redbirds covering the back yard, finding little nuggets to take to their young up high in the old oak trees in the back yard. Life is good, the Good Lord gives us many amazing things to see and smell, touch and taste, but at times like this, most of all a gentle peace........

First Fireflies, here, out tonight. One Whip-or-will sounding off so far.
We had a tick problem last month when it was unusually warm.
There are bunches, of little barred grey birds, not higher than the white clover, trying to take over the place. They appear to be on bug patrol.
I've been hoping the Turkey population would come through. Might not need them now but still hope they come
Thank goodness. The Dog nor Cat have tick problems.
I waded out through the cool grass barefoot today and nothing attacked. Mosquitoes seem to really like wife's blood type though
