We've added it to the back of the MH (bumper); and across the back of our car hauler. It DOES help get the attention of drivers at night.

In the dark a 30' trailer is hard to see at 100 yards, the tape stands out at 1/4 mile. I have it on my rear bumper, and on the front and rear bottom of my slides.
Take a small 3 inch LED flashlight with you, gives off lots of light, easy to carry in a pocket when not in your hand, & doesn't make your RV look like a commercial horse trailer.

along the whole side? for me personally I won't be doing that to my camper.
I have a new 5'er coming next week and I know I couldn't do that to the sides.
but some along the back bumper would be helpful.

We hopefully never have to tow at night so we wouldn't ever do it. If you're going to then go for it. Better safe than sorry.

I put some on my slides.. On the front and back of them visible only when extended.. I did this after there was evidence of someone hitting one of them.

I put it on the rear bumper. Often in the mountains we travel, fog can sneak up on you any time of day or year. The big white wall of the rear of the trailer with two anemic tail lights is just asking for it. The tape makes it much safer.

And for those who are going to say "don't drive in the fog" often pulling over of slowing down to a crawl can be many times more dangerous.

Some people also put it on steps in order not to trip over them in the dark.
