Are made everyday we are camping. The past five days (our first trip this year) has been great. All the kids and grands were here, and my DW (Nana) organized a teriffic Micky Mouse birthday party for our 7 year old grandson (who has ACC). He was very excited and enjoyed the homemade Micky Mouse cake that my DIL and DW baked and decorated. We had a great time, played horse shoes, played kids games, ate a lot, played in the water, and sat around an talked about everything under the sun.
Now, as I look around the campsite it is very still and quite. All the kids and grands have left, (it is good to have them here and good to see them go too !), the lake is calm and my DW just wokeup. In a few hours we will start breaking down and return to the S&B and work tomorrow.
Oh, my three mods performed flawlessly, the electric tongue jack, the inside screen door handle, and the new awning rope light mount. Plus it was good to have my new kill-a-watt meter plugged in to monitor voltage.

Memories are a huge part of why we camp. Seems we get, perhaps, a little too caught up in the mechanics of all this RV stuff. So happy you had a great time. Hope you took lots of pictures. They will turn into solid gold with time.

DW and I have been full timing for 3.5 years now and not a day goes by that we don't thank God for this retirement life we have been enjoying. Seems also that not a day goes by where one or the other of us mentions just how great a day it is.
For years we would go camping at the beach every Easter week. In those days there were very few people camping at the beach and we would go to one of those huge campgrounds at Myrtle Beach where they would put us off by our selves at beach front. For a week every year we had our little place at the beach and we never had a bad week. Even the year that the LP line was clogged and it was 15 degrees outside. We carried plenty of blankets and slept like a baby.
