Are they really that good? I am geting ready to replace all 4 of my goodyear MArathons, last season i had 2 blowouts in a row. There is nothign wrong with my trailer and i religously check the tire pressure. goodyears will not be returning to my trailer!
I have 225/75 15d and see that maxxis makes a E rated in the same size, i think thats the route i am going. But before i click the purchase button i just wanted to hear the opinions of maxxis owners.
thanks.

Yes, they're that good! I had lots of problems before but none after and those issues had nothing to do with speed, low air pressure or overloading. They simply came apart and went bad for no reason. One even failed just laying in the back of the truck under the canopy.

Yes, i was not happy with the badyears when the first one exploded and took the side off our trailer! Then when the second one went i started looking at them closely and see that they are nice and round like a motorcycle tire. Yet set 2 lbs below proper pressure.

I guess the maxxis it will be, they are only a few more $$.

That's exactly what I did a few years ago. I'm not even close to an expert. Others seemed to think it was a good idea though perhaps a little overkill for a 9,000 lb TT. Overkill was exactly what I wanted and I sure felt more secure.

(I also needed new wheels for the higher tire pressure.)

Exactly! This is one area where the absolute best isnt that much more than regular cheapos.

If they were $200.00 each I would still buy them.

Speed and pressure were not the issues with the good years, they completly blew apart.

Do tire places carry the Maxxis brand? I know Les Schwab doesn't (where I usually get my tires). I'm just wondering how ordering tires works? You pay shipping, and you have to pay a shop to mount them?
