We are planning a trip out west and want to go through Colorado Springs to Los Vages, Not sure about the best route to take and what kind of hills we will come up against. I'm not big on climbing up mountains.

You won't be coming up to hills in Colorado, you will be coming up to mountians. The Rocky mountians, Colorado Springs is at the foot of the Rockys and is over 6000ft above sea level and then you have to climb.
When you leave the Springs just head South toward Albuquerque, NM and then West to Las Vegas.

If you don't care for mountains I would say your going to the wrong places. As far as route use Google maps and a good GPS with real-time traffic.

And when you use Google Maps, be sure to spell your destination correctly. It is Las Vegas, not Los Vegas nor Los Vages. It is in Nevada.

Microsoft Streets and trips, sends you North to I-70 and then West to I-15 and on down to Las Vegas. 816 Miles. If you want to see a few things along the way then I would suggest that you head to Mesa Verdi from Colorado Springs. Lots to see down in that area, including four corners. Wolf Creek Pass is fun!!!

Colo Sprgs to Las Vegas has two good routes. Go south thru Raton and you drive about 960 miles and is not too much climbing. The drive after you go south from Raton is an easy drive and pretty flat for a long ways. The climb out of Albe on I-40 is long and takes a while.
Going north from the Springs thru Denver on the bypass to the west of Denver is a 862 mile drive and has some good climbs. The worst part I found was not so much the climbing as the downhill on the west side of the Eisenhower tunnel. Take that slow and after that you have pretty smooth sailing. Either way is a good drive.
I am going to Cortez this weekend on I-40 to Flagstaff. Wave if you see my truck and camper going east.
Have a safe trip.
