We're passing thru northern GA this summer but only have time to
visit one of these parks.
Cloudland Canyon and Tallulah Gorge Georgia state parks.

We're day hikers and bicycle riders but not off road bikes.
No kids so activities for kids don't matter to us.

IF you had to choose only one park, which one??

Peace!

Cloudland is nice, haven't been to Tallulah Gorge, also there's Fort Mountain State Park as well has a nice trail system. We will be the hosts at Fort Mountain starting June 1, (staying in site 3)

Another vote for Cloudland Canyon...beautiful park. Both are great parks, but I like the campground at Cloudland Canyon much better.....also love Fort Mountain SP.

Never been to Tallulah Gorge Georgia but sure enjoy staying at Cloudland.

Cloudland Canyon is situated on two rims of the canyon up on Lookout Mtn and you can hike down to the edges and look across the canyon at the other part of the park. Of course there is people on that side looking back at you hehe.. Lots of good viewing of the Canyons and mountain forest views. A real great place to visit when the leaves are chaining in the fall.

We always stay on the West Rim side of the park. Almost all of the camping spots on the B-side has a fenced in patio area.

Park is very nice with good friendly running it. Never had any problems in the some ten times or so we have visited there.

Good groceries just outside the entrance gate and another one just a mile east of the park. Also a full line grocery store (Food Lion type) down the hill at Trenton GA.

HDTV reception is great on the B side camp spots. We got 36 digital channels the last time we camped there using the OTA antenna. Site only has Electric and Water connections.

We've camped at Cloudland and it is nice. My DW prefers Ft Mountain & Vogel with thier lakes.

We've not camped at Tallulah Gorge... we'd hoped to for spring break this year, but they did not offer online reservations so we went a different route.

Happy Camping!
John.
