You ever have anyone get lost in the Maze of the lake? Over the years, have any gators bothered Canoe or Kayakers that you've heard of? Thanks.

I've kayaked many miles in gator and croc infested waters in Florida and was never bothered by any. Of course, that's no guarantee that you won't run into one that's on the prowl during mating season or one that's been fed by humans.

We do occasionally have someone get lost in the cypress thickets. I have quite a bit of experience with the gators here and not once have I ever had or heard of any causing any problems. They are very timid here.

We volunteered for several seasons at Black Lake Bayou NWR in N LA. A beautiful part of the country and if we were still on the road, I would take it in a heartbeat!
