We are headed to Cotopaxi, CO end of July for a few weeks of white water rafting and sightseeing along the Arkansas River and surrounding area. Coming from Central Texas. Was looking at veering off on CO 69 at Walsenbburg from I25 to cut over to Cotopaxi and CO 50. Am hoping that this a more scenic route, and suitable for TTs, then I25 to Pueblo and then west. Anybody ever travel CO 69?

I haven't been on CO 69 for a couple of years but you should have no problems. Two lane back country road.

Completed our trip. First half of this road is winding and boring, the second half winding and very scenic. Lots of whoop-de-doos but overall a decent stretch of two-lane hiway. You are literally out there on this stretch of road - not much traffic.
