While working on a tub drain issue I realized that the tub was only touching the the tub support platform in one place. I was able to lift the platform one half inch all around and the tub now is firmly touching the platform. I don't get that sinking feeling when stepping into the tub anymore either.
Question: Would it be wise or overkill to spray some of that expanding foam under the tub between the tub bottom legs and the platform it sits on? Any thoughts on this will be appreciated.
Thanks

I had a TT were the tub would buckle when I stepped in it... I glued some wood support around the drain area and filled a garbage bag with spray foam and shoved it under the tub the entire length of the tub was supported by the bag full of foam..

Expanding foam will add much stability to your tub base. When installing foam use several plastic bags and spray the foam inside the bags. that way if repairs must be made at a later date, the foam can be removed without being stuck to everything.

I guess we were lucky with our ROO, never had a problem with the support.
