This is our first full summer of camping with our 25' Coachman TT. Our issue needs some creative solutions. We tow with our Tahoe which has fold-in side mirrors. When hubby straps the extended side mirror onto the driver-side mirror, the whole mirror folds itself in at highway speed. What can I do to the truck's mirror to keep it from folding in??

Glue them in the outward position, maybe? I'm just messing with you, I really don't know. Welcome to the forum.

Some of us use McKesh mirrors or Camping World has a wide selection of mirrors. It sounds like you may have to use a different mirror system.

We took off the stock mirrors on our truck and replaced the whole system.

I tried all sorts of strap on mirrors on our old Suburban and never was happy with any of them. It's probably a lot easier in the long run to just replace the mirrors with real tow mirrors.

I had a similar problem with the mirrors on my Jamboree. Nothing seemed to work unitl I drilled a small hole in the arm of the mirror right next to the pivot hinge and inserted a screw that I could use to lock the position. Barely noticeable and solved the problem. Might try it before you dole out for new mirrors. You can remove the screw when not towing the trailer.

I put these on my Silverado and love them. Kept the heated mirrors and power adjustment functions working and they are fantastic.
