After blowing our 4th transmission this week on our 2011 Fusion with a Remco pump installed by Ford we requested a buy back and will wait to see what happens.
Does anybody have any flat towing of the Edge or Taurus? We looked at the Jeep Grand Cherokee and it looks like it has changed a lot since we looked at them around 10 years ago, quite and comfortable, not great gas mileage though.

We get 14 city and 21 highway with our 2012 Grand Cherokee, and that is with a Hemi. Have to say, it is a very nice unit and a great toad.

Take a look at a group by the name of Tread Lightly. Look here, treadlightly.org. By joining for a total of $60 for 3 years, you can get Chrysler Affiliate Rewards Pricing, 1 percent below invoice. We got our 2012 Grand Cherokee Overland Hemi for just over $42k plus T&L. It's a no haggle deal.

We've flat towed our '08 Taurus X 20 to 25,000 miles with no problems. Fuel economy on the car is anywhere from 22 to 27 mpg depending on conditions.

10 Edge. No problems with trans with 75,000 miles on it in two years.
We crank it up and through reverse and drive about every stop
Elevens, with push button start, had some problems with draining battery. Don't know if that has been resolved.
Have had to align it a few times because we pulled it through potholes or over curbs or something. Very satisfied with it as front wheel drives go.

Does the Edge require to lower the transmission fluid like the Fusion did?

We haven't had to lower it. I have had them check it at the Dealer when in for service and been told it is fine. I've been vigilent about that issue since I found out there might be one but to date no problems.
