If you have a second air conditioner in bedroom.. You can put a fan in the door way to push cool air into the main room to help the other air conditioner. It will get very cool in there in all kinds of heat.

My RV seems to stay at a temp of around 69 to 70 all summer. If it isn't very hot, I run it on low. If it is 95 plus, I run it on high. I keep a thermometer inside and it is always around the 69 to 70 range. Same when it is cold out, the heater the way I set it keeps it around the same range also.
Now granted I do not have a huge unit - only 26 foot, no slides. I picked that size with no slides for a variety of reasons, being easier to cool is one on the list. Also because there are just two of us and we are rarely inside of it except to sleep.

I get plenty of cooling from my AC. In fact I get showered with ice every now and then. This can be both refreshing and shocking at the same time. What does it mean? Am I looking at a new unit or should I wear a jacket and toque?

We gave up yesterday. Leaving a day early and going north. Meant leaving the convention early but nothing to do about that. Temps outside were 97 and the trailer got to 92. The compressor is not running continuously which mystifies me. The air, when running is cool but I don't know why the compressor would shut down if the set temp has not been reached. The fan runs all the time. Without our squirrel cage blower we'd really be in a bind.
Only one AC unit. Trailer is a medium brown fiberglass. Roof is white but all fan covers and AC cover is black. Now we have an odor in the unit this morning to add to everything else.

That stuff is fantastic.
Find it at Home Depot, and I'm sure other places.
You will be delighted with the results.

Maybe your AC is "Short-looping"?
Air is drawn from the coach's interior into the ceiling unit. This warm air is then blown across the cold evaporator and into the ductwork. This cold air mixes with the warm air and the cycle repeats. Over time, the warm air gets cooler so the AC cools increasingly cooler room air.
But, if there's a cold air leak inside the ceiling unit, that just cooled air could be immediately returning to the evaporator. If the unit is equipped with a thermistor, that sensor "tells" the system that the interior is COLD and the compressor shuts off...keeping the unit from freezing up.
To check for this condition, remove the ceiling grille.
With the unit running, CAREFULLY insert your hand up into the exposed air intake...carefully because there's 120 volts and spinning fan blade that might be exposed.
You're checking for any cold air being blown into the intake...any cold air. If you feel any fan-forced air against your skin you'll want to seal that leak.
Use the metallic foil duct tape to thoroughly close off any leaks...don't use that cloth stuff unless you want to repeat the process every few years.

I clean my cond. coil often. The dirt builds up on the inside surface where it can't be seen w/o taking the cover off. I had a 5er that was 2 yrs old and didn't use the AC much. I thought there was no way it could be very dirty but it was actually pretty bad. We camped in eastern Co. at 108 degrees and the compressor was cycling on the internal protection. I had to run the fan on high and block off some return air to reduce the load to get thru the weekend. Craig

Washboy,
Tried your suggestion. Did feel some cold air coming from somewhere. Could never pin it down but did get it stopped at least 90%. Only had Duct tape but good enough for short term. Going to have the dealer go over everything when we get back. Will have to check it in some heat before I'm sure but it won't be for a couple days. Temps here, we moved, are in the mid 60's.
