All we can say is ---spend a little time in Dawson City--we LOVED it----you ARE going On the TOP OF THE WORD HIGHWAY ????!!!!----and try to go to the fair in Delta Junction, REALLY good old fasioned event, great mud-racing !!!
IF the weather is clear when you are within range of Mt. McKinley, go out of your way to vist/see it--most of the time it's covered in cloud !!!
It's a LONG way for us to visit again---BUT WE WOULD LOVE TO RETURN

Perhaps we will see you along the road somewhere. We're leaving a week from today - and what a week it will be. Birthday celebrations, packing and loading the camper, getting the house ready for house/cat-sitters...AND
Our nephew is coming home from Afghanistan on Friday and the whole clan is coming our way to welcome him home. Yes, we live near Camp Pendleton (USMC). YAHOO!!! We are sooo happy and thankful. It's great way to begin a trip.
We'll keep an eye out for other Bigfoots.

I am hoping to send information daily. please feel free to make suggestions on where to go and what to see. We are planning to take our time and enjoy. After all that's what retirement is all about.
But my youngest daughter did tell me to get my butt home in time for her to make it to university. I told her I would try, but just in case I will leave her money for the plane.

Hope you have a great trip.
Wish I had made it to the Kenai Peninsula. Had a good friend move back from the lower 48 (AR) to Kenai. We had plans on making trip up to see old Gene Chambers. But he passed away over a year after moving back. His wife is still north of Kenai. Man from hearing him talking about that part of the country. It sounds like heaven on earth.
