I do wish this thread would deal with the OP's problem, instead of becoming a bash fest for people with an axe to grind against Ford and their products. If you know something about the problem and can offer valid advice, post. If all you can contribute is in your humble opinion anything with a blue oval on the grille is a rolling POS, keep it to yourself.
I for one don't care to hear about how my choice of tow vehicle will implode, self-destruct, leave me stranded, and is one of the worst vehicles ever sold, especially when the person telling me this has never owned a vehicle like mine and posts only to impose misery. By the way, my truck has not imploded, self-destructed, and has only left me stranded once due to a battery with a dead short in it. But I suppose since the battery had a Ford logo on it, that makes the battery a POS, and because it's connected to the truck, that makes the truck a POS.
If that is your train of thought, spare us...

I already gave him the answer in post 13. He just needs a dealer to do the work now.

I think Ford's are as good as anything out there and I think they are far from a POS, I like there look and there innovation.
Now as far as there well documented lack of customer service/contractual obligation to honor there warranties goes...well that's were they fall into the POS category. I hope everything works out well for the OP and they get him rolling down the road again.
