Okay we are back from camping and we are back and in the driveway. Now that the camper isn't plugged in or turned on what do you do with the fridge ? Do you leave it open ? Or. Close it and put baking soda In the door

Most RV refridgerators have a small slide mechanism that will lock your doors in a slightly open position to allow ventilation while not in use (cooling). My RV repair center pointed that out to me after looking at the comedic steps I had taken to prop my doors open with painters tape and cardboard. I also will use that opportunity of non-use to wipe out the inside w/ a baking soda/h2o mix.

I agree with leaving it propped open. Any dampness inside will mildew if it's closed. Personally,
I just leave mine plugged in at home. We turn it on for the first trip of the season and leave it on at home most of the time until the last trip. That way, we just keep certain things like condiments, some drinks, frozen burgers and hotdogs right in there for the next trip.

Ours came with a clip that attaches to the latch to prop the door open... keeps the mold away for sure.

I use a couple cloths pegs to keep it open when off.

Oh, Chuck.....it's that little blue thing that I still can't figure out how to use. You didn't get one?? Not to worry, just open the door, close the slide and the slide works nicely to hold the frig door open. I hate simple gadgets that everyone can figure out except me! But, in answer to the OP, leave the door open. If you have frost in your freezer, add a layer of several paper towels to absorb when it thaws.
