I just wanted to post this ihad to have my class a motor home towed 25 miles it was in the middle keys in florida i had it towed because of a problem with a park manager . i had no tow insurance or did not know it was being towed i was charged 2200.0 to tow to marthon florida they said they had to remove the drive shaft and that the price was resonable does this sound right or didi get taken ,and they only would except cash . i now have good sam just in case i would break down .please rvers have insurance and be wary of the buisness they prey on people just because we have toys

Reasonable....maybe if you were towed from Key West to Miami, but not from the middle keys to the upper keys. Yes, IMO, you were had....

You didn't know it was being towed? Maybe you could give us a bit more of the story with a bit of punctuation and spell check so your post is a tad more understandable.

I think there is a lot more to this story than is being told. "having a problem with a part manager" and the MH was towed away without the owner being informed. Excuse me if I'm just a tad sceptical.

No park manager would take on that lialbilty without a lot if dotted i's and crossed t's.

Motor home was in storage i was behind 3 months never got a bill or a phone call the park agreed to pay me 1/2 of the tow back. i said i would go to small claims court with them , and they paid me 1/2 back iam partialy at fault, but the reel issue is how i was ripped off with the tow company. just be carefull in the keys if you have to get towed

You say you had to have it towed, then you said you didn't know it was being towed
You said it cost 2200.0 is that $220.00 or $2200.00 The first seems reasonable, the second sounds like a ripoff.

Excuse me? So if I don't get a bill from the electric company I don't owe them anything. How about the mortgage company? Insurance? Credit cards? No bill no pay, is this the new way transactions for services rendered is working today?

You were fully at fault. You entered into an agreement to pay an amount to store your coach and you failed to honor that agreement. From where I sit you owe the towing company, back storage fees, for the time the manager has had to deal with this problem and whatever the towing company wants to add in to store the coach on their lot.

What did you expect, for the lot or park owner to hold your coach forever until the day came that you remembered to pay your bill? Your coach was taking up space that the manager could have rented to someone who pays thier bill. Would it be the City's fault for towing my car because I didn't feed a parking meter enough money for the time I was parked.

Bust a deal, spin the wheel.
