The area of the country we live and camp in can be very dusty especially many roads in late summer and fall. We are noticing quite a bit of dirt in the window channels and even around the windows. We are suspecting this is coming in the weep holes at the bottom of the window channel. We are considering blocking off the weep holes to prevent this condition. What does everyone think of this idea? Pros and Cons please? Thanks

Worth a try maybe temp close off with clear tape. You don't want to close them off good good. They need to air flow in cold/wet weather.
Matter of fact if dust is problem make sure to clean them good. And other people put little balls of cotton in the holes. I'd be willing to bet most comes right in your door with you on your clothes and then floats around until static elec gets it near/againist the window.

I use little cut up pieces of sponge.
If they stop draining, the sponge piece are dirty and need replacing.... or just wash them off.
I think they come with felt from the factory......

I just roll up a paper towel, wet it and put it in the channel inside the window.

If you have a reversible ceiling fan, how about turning it on during transit to pressurize the interior to keep the dust out?
