I suspect it is about time to change the shocks on our truck, a 2007 GMC 2500 DMax Classic, Crew Cab 4X4. I'm not much of an auto guy, so I'm wondering what shocks you would go with. I did a quick search but didn't see that many posts. We are also towing about 10,000 lbs, with about 1,300-1,400 lbs. on the hitch. Thanks for any suggestions!
I tried a couple of different brands including Rancho but the Bilstiens are dramatically better riding shocks and were the only shock that will control any porpoising in the back when you have a heavy bumper pull type trailer.

I bought the truck used and it has about 83,000 on it now. I haven't looked to see if it still has the originals on it, which I would suspect it probably does. The truck seems to have a pretty stiff, jolty ride when hitched up, and I started thinking some new shocks might really help. I'm using an Equalizer 4-point for the hitch.
This place can usually give you all the info you need and a decent price. Bilsteins seem to be popular but ask for their opnion on your situation. Usually have free shipping. Check them out if just for info. Norcal Truck
