I had the right front tire blow out just west of Needles, CA last Dec. I watched that vido a year or so ago and as soon as I heard the BANG I did just as the vido taught and never had a problem controling or stopping the rig. I was running about 60mph at the time. Hope I don't have to do it again.

To clear up the confusion. accelerate and turn in the opposite direction of the blow out for a front tire flat. Anything else can cost you your life.

The seat and wall are ripped out, so was the driver. You do not want to be in a Class A accident. I also use Tyron!!

Yes it looks like the drivers seat was taken out by the pole, Nasty Not sure If he did anything wrong but this should be a wake up call to all the reclined seat one hand on the wheel drivers you may not have time to get up on the wheel when something like this happens

The one reason why I tooked the shoulder harness part out and only use the lap belt, atleast you might be able to get a bit farther away from the side of the coach if trouble happens, Just my thoughts.

So sorry for the family.
Lee Holt rings familiar.

All vehicles are dangerous and injuries and death are always possible in any vehicle accident. The statistics show that RV accidents are few and far between, which has more to do with driver education and driver attention to the road, than the fact that they are in a "safe" vehicle. Most RV owners take great care when they are on the road, but sometimes stuff happens, that are beyond anyone's control.

Be prepared to hit the accelerator on a front tire blowout. Forward momentum will stabilize the swaying until gaining full control, then slow down. Just ask a professional trucker.

So are class A's unsafe compared to a pickup truck towing a travel trailer? In my case I had a Ford E450 van with driver and passenger airbags.
