Surely you've 'splained that to the DW, right? Right??? I mean, GOD sent you the message, dude. Surely, surely you're not gonna ignore GOD, are you?
Yeah Bob, how else can guys like me get great deals on used rigs if guys like you don't trade up? Seriously, whatever you do, I do admire your attitude. Going ballistic and obsessing over things that are repairable or replaceable does nothing but raise your blood pressure and ruin your health. I had to learn that lesson the hard way.

The one I looked at was a 22 something, I forget. It is too small for what I want, it was only a 22' unit. 2008 model so it still has that nice molded front cap. It was in flawless condition and it even smelled new inside. It had the power awning too.
But I want something in the 25 to 27 foot range.
It sure was nice looking though. The salesman stood there in wonderment as I explained the features to DW, and told her of the construction details and cabinets etc. Kinda funny actually.
They want 16G for it.

We had a family reunion three years ago at Lake Tuc El Nuit. Was a really fun time. Great little RV park there at the lake.
We stayed in the same camp spot that I did when I camped for the very first time at 6 mos old. I am now 42
Tuc El Nuit is really a beautiful spot. DW lived there as a girl and went to school there. Her and friends used to swim across that lake in her teen years.
I used to work that area 30 years putting aluminum siding on houses and building patio covers.
Nice area - I really like it.
Hey Bob....sorry to hear about your awning, good to see that you are taking it so well....ever been to Cantaloupe Annies when you were Oliver?....Nice little town, been there about 3 times. Now that we have anew TT, we might try to camp out that way, probably in Osoyoos

No, haven't heard of Cantaloupe Annies.
There are lots of places to stay around that area. Couple years ago we spent some time at the BelAir Cedar Resort on the south end of town. It was a nice place and the people were great!
I had this happen to me, the awning blew over and took out the antenna also. No reason to get upset, that is why I pay for insurance. I now however am very paranoid about leaving it not tied down.
Well, I have learned something -- I am from Southern Calif, where gentle breezes blow. But we are heading into the Canadian Rockies this summer -- thunder country. So, at the risk of displaying my ignorance -- how do you tie down the awning?? I don't want to roll it up every time we go away for the day!
Thanks in advance for your advice. And if this should be a separate thread (so that I don't hijack Bob's story), I will re-post.
PS -- Bob, that was well-played -- my guess is that your blood pressure is well under control!
