Hi all,
I need to install a hitch on the cheap.
Are there other good places other than my local U Haul?
Its for my new to us tow vehicle in my signature.
Thanks All.
Unfortunately we'll miss our first memorial day camp out in 9 years...
On the good side my kids can both march in our town parade

That's strange having a tow package without a hitch receiver. I would have Toyota install one.

Local Auto Parts stores or trailer supply store. Don't get a round tube hitch.

Ebay if you are able to install it yourself. I've bought a couple of Curt brand hitches for my 4Runneroff for under $150 including shipping. Don't be afraid to install it yourself. They are simple bolt on and can be done with basic tools (wrench or socket set) in under 30 minutes.

I thought it strange to...but most Highlanders don't have them.
Unfortunately the dealer wants over$750.00...
Why no round tube hitch???
Any body order from Etrailer.com ? The prices look good..
Thanks

NYCAMPDUDE asked: Why no round tube hitch???

Ask the GM guys. Round tube hitches will not hold up to the stresses caused by a heavy tongue weight and a WDH. They will twist.

I don't think that, just because GM had a problem with the round tube hitches on certain year vehicles, you can condemn ALL round tube hitches. There are many other manufacturers of round tube hitches that seem to work fine for their applications.
