Lightning doesn't always cause burn marks, either. I've seen trees split in half and twisted up from lightning strikes where there was no burn mark at all. Struck me odd, but it's happened more than once.

What do they say? They say "no"
What do they do? Deny the claim.

Full comprehensive and liability are usually for "vehicular" coverage as involved in an accident. Did you get an RV home owners policy? Since you haven't posted on here the parts covering the RV and installed components, I suggest as others have - go to an attorney who specializes in insurance claims. He will read your policy and deal with the insurance company to get you what has been covered.

Full timing isn't "always camping". It's a different life style living in an RV.

Don't go to an attorney!

An example of what can happen: A lady I know was involved in a accident. The other guy's insurance company low-balled her. She went to an attorney. He wrote one letter; the insurance company paid and he took 40% of the settlement.

Go to a public adjuster. You can find them in the yellow pages or on Google. A state licensed adjuster will estimate the damages just like the other adjuster, except this one is working for you. He will include everything (and then some) in his estimate and negotiate on your behalf with your insurance company.

They are MUCH better, and much less expensive than attorneys for claims like this. In fact, I've seen attorneys hire a PA to do the legwork on a claim, then pay them out of his 40%.

They will pay for loss of personal effects in all those situations so the issue is what consitutes a personal effect. Are you sure there isn't another section which covers damage to the MH itself as a result of fire, etc., etc.?

yes, got an attorney and now they say they will cover this. They will tow in next week to nearest certified Monaco repair place which is in Loveland, CO. I will keep everyone posted as to what happens.
This lightning thing is something everyone should think about!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The tree it hit took all the bark off from the trunk to 3/4 way down and the flash burn was unreal. Can't beleive it did not catch on fire. Probally cuz the leaves were not totally out as Colorado is not in full bloom in April.
