Does anyone still use tow dollies for their toads. If so, how do you know which one to buy. We have a 2007 Ford Taurus and are trying to figure out which one to buy. We cannot pull the 2007 behind our motorhome with a tow bar.

Determine the weight limit of your hitch, determine the weight of the vehicle you want to tow, and don't forget the weight of the dolly itself in your figuring also.

My first dolly was a 10 year old used one. It had 13" tires and worked fine. After a year or so with it, I came across a 1 year old dolly with 14" tires and it had only been used once. It is serving us well now.

I sold my old one for what I gave for it so I think I came out OK.

Hope this helps.?.

Hi,
We use the Demco KarKaddy 460 SS. With the weight of the dolly and our toad we come in under the 5k limit for our rv. Once you get going you can't even tell you are towing. The Demco is very versatile. When you get to your campsite it can fold to half its size. The Demco weighs about 670 pounds and only has 100 pound hitch weight. Hope this helps you out.

I've been pulling a Demco KarKaddy dolly for 7 years and will strongly second the Maddags post. It's well built, heavily galvanized (no rust worry), stores well and the surge brakes do a fine job.
