For previous responses search this Forum for `Sea Eagle' but also consider Porta Bote which are much more rugged and easier to row.

Nick Russel who writes the Gypsy Journal RV Newspaper and his wife both have Sea Eagle boats and seem to love them you can go to his blog at Nick's Blog and do a search on Sea Eagle to see more.

We use a 14' Sea Eagle Sport Boat to fish big water in Alaska. We fish silver salmon in Valdez harbor, the arm and out to Prince William Sound. We have downriggers, a 20hp Yamaha and all the gear needed to fish up to 18 miles from our launch point in 3' swells and moderate chop. An absolute great boat. We've used it 5 seasons in Alaska and our only changes was to upgrade to the 20hp and switch from manual to electric downriggers. We've never had a leak or a problem with the boat despite landing it on gravel and rocks. We keep the boat and a Sietech S12068 dolly we've modified with high speed wheels and axles in the RV basement and can trailer it to wherever we need to launch it from the toad. Sea Eagle has their headquarters in NY and they have all sorts of boats you can view and/or purchase there. Since we live in DE (no sales tax) and Sea Eagle runs "free shipping" promotions, we picked out the boat in NY and had them send it.
Best inflatable value we've found, and we looked a LOT before we bought.

The OP has a truck camper. We all know many of the TC forum members are not very fond of outsiders. Many of the TC posts could easily fit into many of the other general RV'g categories.

True I do agree, but just because a person has a truck camper does not mean that you should post whatever you want in the forum. I would assume most people going thru this forum are looking for information having to do with truck campers, or something related to TC's or their P/U that is hauling the TC, or towing something with a TC installed. Not something about what a person thinks about a boat. I could understand if you were asking a question about towing a boat with a truck camper.

Many of us just use the Newest posting. Many of us non TC owners where owners, have a half dozen friends with TC's, or even lived in one for a few months. So we do have some valid knowledge of TC's. Most of my family and friends are RV'rs, my neighbors are RV'rs. DP's, 5'rs, C's, B's, TT, TC's, and pups are all represented. There are many great TC posts that have nothing to do with TC's specifically that can be applied to many other types. TC'rs write great trip reports that many of us enjoy greatly. Lots of good boondocking ideas.
Back to the subject....
Sea Eagle boats are highly rated. Was on the fence for awhile on a Sea Eagle canoe but went with a ridgid one. I have a class II inflatable raft for river floating that goes on the RV roof.

Having a truck camper that when in the bed of the truck has a rack that is 11 feet above the ground the question of how to get a boat/kayak up there has been raised numerous times. One approach is to get an inflatable that is easier to toss up on the roof or can be stored in the rear of the cab.
You might also notice posts about trucks and tires which are not directly related to what is inside a "camper". You can decide which posts you want to read and which you should ignore and which you can comment on and when to best keep your thoughts private.
