Sunday heading up the Maine Turnpike I came across a Honda Ridgeline towing about a 30 foot 10 or so year old trailer with no WD, just a normal ball hitch. The 2 together made a nice "V" and I am not sure how the front wheels were still on the ground. Hope they made it to where they were going without hurting anyone.

Hopefully they weren't going too far. I wonder if the realize they may be putting others in danger, not just themselves.

As much fun as it is to paint the dealers as villians,...Sorry, it's not usually the dealer who says this anymore... maybe it was at one time, but not now. Far too many lawsuits.

Usually it's the buyer who insists he can tow it, or who thinks the dealer is trying to play him for a sucker with the WD.

Most dealers make the customer sign off that they have been advised that the dealer has informed them they should be using WD and that they have refused.

Actual Honda Ridgeline Magazine Ad...

From a Nissan Titan owners forum..."Another reason not to buy a Honda Ridgeline!"

you are correct but Honda recommends NOT using a WDH. so maybe the Ridgeline owner was at least following that!

one big reason why we decided against a Ridgeline.

Curious why you would say Toyota, my Tundra does just fine? Sure a 4 Runner or Rav 4 maybe a little light but you can still find trailers in their range as well.
