Load the trailer ready to go camping and have it weighed,if you are under GVW,your good.I never tow anything that out weighs the truck.Look on the door and tell us the GVW.Also you have a 1500 load weight on your trailer,you can always pack 750 if you have to.That should give you a tongue of about 700 lbs.you will take a loss trading a 2 yr old truck.

I agree, taking a financial hit is not worth changing trucks at this point. I just need to watch how I load, make sure my WDH is optimized and drive safely. I appreciate everyone's input!
I just went from a Tundra to a 3/4 ton because of payload. I would not recommend trading the Tundra for another half-ton. Just wait, pay down the truck and go for a 3/4 ton in a few years. I went from 1,400 pounds of payload/cargo to over 3,000.

one more vote to keep the Tundra for now. You don't want to get into gradually trading up. By that, I mean if you get the F150 now that is only slightly higher in capacity than your Tundra, when you opt to get into a bigger TT or decide to tow heavy (5er), you will need to open your wallet once again. I started a thread last year about this same dillema. I thought I was smart buying a Dmax 3/4 ton truck. Two years later we decided to get a 5th wheel. After weighing the fully loaded truck with passengers, fuel etc, I had #1400 left before I violatedmy GVWR. The dry pin weight on my 5er was #1500. I opted to get a new TV but this time I went 1 ton DRW. Don't need it but now I won't need to buy another truck for awhile. Enjoy your RV for a few years. If you opt for bigger, get into 3/4 ton or SRW one ton if you need to. Good luck.

At this point you already have a great towing machine, yes it lacks the payload of the F150HD or even max tow, however you're so close on the payload that i wouldn't bother worrying about it. My father tows a 7500lb TT with his and it gets the job done quite nicely, his is certainly over its payload as well, probably 300lbs i'd guess. He told me that if he was to do it over again, he'd get the F150HD as he never knew anything about payload, only the tow rating is XXXX lbs and he needed to stay under that.He packs as light as he can and that's about it.
