Times must be getting better. There are a whole lot more people complaining on the forums about the troubles they are having buying rigs and getting them serviced than are complaining about site prices and extra fees at parks. If this keeps up, the forums will soon be jammed by threads whining about how long it is going to take to get their new Newells built. Let the good times roll and happy camping!!

I do know times are getting better. A new RV park is being built on highway 71 east of Austin with a pretty good capacity for campers... and in this area, there are three other RV parks and a SP, and most are usually near/at capacity.

I think people with money are letting a little loose now.
I am. I shut down on alot of spending for a bit to get my finances in order etc. and see where I stood. Once that happened I am starting to let some bucks out of the wallet.
I don't think things are truly improving, I just think a bit of money is being released out there into the big bad world. If times get bad I will shut down my wallet again for a bit.
I just bought a new 5er. I am in the group of new buyers and I sure am not complaining about buying one or any troubles doing so

A few people that I know that have been out of work have gotten jobs, and my real estate person told me she is all of sudden busy again. The euro is going to be hard pressed against the dollar soon.

I'm not sure the economy is getting better, but
things are happening because people realize it is a buyers market. Housing prices have dropped, interest rates are low,so people with money can get some great deals. Car dealers are making some crazy deals to sell vehicles. My cousin and her husband had a Nissan that was almost 3 years old but wasn't paid off. They got a card in the mail saying they could get a new car with the same or lower payments. They didn't believe it,but went to check it out. They got a brand new car, same model, same options but their monthly payments were lower for the same terms. Many contractors have lowered their rates or their mark ups to get jobs.

Most RV parks I've visited recently have pretty good occupancy rates. I was fortunate enough to get the last back-in site at an RV park here in Albuquerque. That being said, since I spend winters in Yuma, AZ I did perceive a SLIGHT drop in occupancy at some RV parks but they are still getting plenty of business nonetheless. I don't think RVers are being impacted as much as others, at least according to what I'm noticing compared to times past.
