Give the front enough slack to make turns and tie the rest off on the tow bar.
I have a straight six wire and tie it off using a tarp tie.

I keep mine over my Blue Ox tow bar where it sits freely and doesn't interfere with anything; stays plugged also.

Just curious...doesn't your connection at the toad have a cap lock? Mine has the same type insert that goes to any trailer with the cap locking the connector in....have NEVER had a problem with disconnecting as long as the cable isn't too long that it drags on the asphalt to begin with....IMHO, of course

I use velcro tie wrap. Lost the cord 2 times before I did the tie.

I have lost two before I decided to keep a roll of electrical tape.. I wrap it 3 times around an never had a problem again.. cheaper than replacing the plugs..

I put a piece self adhesive hook velcro on the tow bar and the wrap another piece of nonadhesive pile velcro around both the power cord and the safety breakaway cable. Holds them up nicely and no parts to loose.

I also use velcro strap at either end to ensure locked connections stay in place. Prior to this the car end came undone once and had to replace the connector. Problem solved with 1/2 wide velcro strap around plug and connector secures cable in place; takes 30 seconds to do...cheap insurance.

Thanks for all the advise. The problem is when the car is unhooked.
Seems to happen entering and exiting driveways that are steep. It is bunged to tow bar. Drags on asphalt. Just looking for a way to prevent the drag.

When the car is unhooked, the electric cable is taken off along with the brake away alert cable and the safety cables. Problem solved.
