Just bought my first travel trailer today, and getting ready to hit the road tomorrow. I went out and got a mate n lock hose to hook onto the dump valve, but when I got home I realized all the pins on the dump valve outlet have been broken off. Is there anyway to hook up the hose without the mate n lock coupler? Could I slide a hose over the outlet and clamp into place, or must the dump valve assembly be replaced? Thanks for your help in advance.
You really don't want to try a self fabrication in this area. Trust me; Ya just don't want to do that. Failure, even a little failure is a huge failure that you won't ever forget.
Before replacing it, I'd have someone who is familiar with a camper look at it. It might not be what you think it is. But if it is indeed missing the pins on the side, you really have to replace the unit.

Thanks for your quick response. It's def missing the pins, i can see where they used to be. Can that unit be replaced from the valves down, or will the new assembly need to be cut in from above the valves? I was hoping missing pins was a common problem and that there was another "correct" way to use the outlet without the pins. But you're right I don't want to learn that lesson the hard way haha

You can get just the pipe fitting with the pins from a RV dealer.

You really need those pins, but as said the flange with the pins can be purchased at most RV dealers. It is usually glued on the end of the dump pipe, but it can be chipped off with carefully placed chisel hits.

If you purchased the unit new, take to dealer. if used, you can replace the end piece.
You will note, that the valves have four bolts, that hold the unit together, where the valve is.
Purchase an assembly, that resembles yours and replace, the outer portion, by unscrewing, the nuts and bolts, then replace with new.
You now have the pins, that lock the sewer hose, to the valve assembly, do not lubricate the valves with grease, and be carful, not to twist the "O" rings, or place them in the wrong place. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN
After you have installed the valve assembly, test by pouring a bucket of water, in the toilet, if no leak, at the black water tank valve, drain in the bucket, dispose of water in house toilet, clean bucket, repeat water test, in sink or shower, this tests the grey water valve.
The rest of the parts, place in storage as spare parts.
The other solution, is to sand, the areas where the pins where, and glue a coupler, and a new end piece, with the pins, take the unit with you, to a reputable RV store, or center so tha you can see, what parts you need, instead of having to make, a ton of trips to Home Despot.
