We are already heading that way. We stayed at Flory's in Lancaster,PA and Croton Point Park north of NYC. We spent one night dry camping at Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT. We now are at Normandy Farms in Foxboro, MA (easily works for RI too). And plan to stop at Silver Springs in Seco, ME and Timberland in Trenton, ME. Haven't picked the ones for the Maritimes yet.

Planning a similar trip to New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia. This is very helpful. Also been to Maine a couple of times already. "Kim" is correct about the Bar Harbor cg's. Our experience at Bar Harbor CG was excellent and very reasonable. It is for camping only. No big amenities. But very clean, neat, and again, right on the bus route. We used our car after the first day and had no trouble parking in BH. If you venture south, I recommend a stay at Red Apple Campground, Arundel, Me, just outside Kennebunkport. Again, not designed for young children. But extremely nice, clean, and well kept. Paved roads and pads, mowed grass everywhere. And a very short drive into Kennebunkport. On your way to or from Kennebunkport, you need to visit Cabelas in Scarborough. They have a huge parking lot and a section for RVs.

Does anyone have some insight into needing reservations at the RV cg's in Nova Scotia and any specific recommendations?

Thank you and safe travels?

Depending on what you're looking for, there's a small campground with 6-7 big rig sites call Maine-Ayre, in Stueben, Me. It's just past the turn-off for Bar Harbor, straight up Rt 1.
It's very close to Scoodic Pt., which is part of Acadia National Park, but no one ever goes to that part.

To be clear, there are NO amenities, No pool, NO playground, but it looks out over Joy Cove, and it's pure, unadulterated Maine coast.

A bit pricey, but great location with excellent big rig sites. It is on the trolley route that serves Wells and Ogunquit. Great food in the area.

X2 on this. We stayed here for a week last year. It is a beautiful resort and the staff is great. Less than a mile from the ocean and has a shuttle that stops every 5 or 10 minutes. While we were there we saw rigs come in up to 45 feet.
