Hi, we're new to Nor-Cal from the Midwest. We are planning our first trip to Dillon Beach, then up to Manchester. Our home is in Folsom. Our rig is a 30 travel trailer, pulled by a Silverado (gas).

My current route plan is hwy 50 west to hwy 80, to Hwy 37 around San Pablo Bay, then 101 north to Petaluma, then Bodega Ave over to Tomales, then Dillon Beach Rd to Lawson's Landing. Where we will stay a night or two.

Next our plan is to take Hwy 1 up to Manchester.

Home we will take Mountian View Road to Hwy 101 south to 37, then 80.

Is this a reasonable route?

Any opinions on Lawsons Landing?

Thanks in advance.

A little shortcut would be take Lakeville Rd off 37 in to Petaluma.

Yikes!!!! on Mountain View Rd.......It is curvey, narrow and 1 lane in some places...It is NOT the shortcut it appears to be and the locals drive like maniacs over the rd....Staying on 1 to 128 really isn't that much longer

If it were me, I would skip Dillon beach and stay a few miles North in Bodega Bay at either Westside Park or Doran Beach. I have never understood the attraction to Dillon. It is just a big open pasture with cattle and the "packages" they leave behind.

We will be heading to Pomo RV park in Fort Bragg, traveling North on 101 from SF Bay Area. We have a 30 foot travel trailer. Which is the best route from 101 to Fort Bragg?

We took Hwy 20 on the route to Fort Bragg, which isn't to bad, we did however get delayed in traffic in Willits, it took about 4o minutes to get through town, this was on a Friday afternoon, so perhaps a different day or time would not be the same delay. We came back on Hwy 128 which is a bit longer but the grades aren't as steep nor as long. Plus there is a section that goes through a nice section of redwoods, which was pretty neat, we turned our lights on even though it was the middle of the dya
